With our first full year of collaboration under our belts, we certainly can say that Two Thousand and Three was an excellent year for the MUSSELp. Please check out the What's New? page for a complete accounting. We would like to thank those people that helped us out and wish everyone a Happy New Year!

This year, we are especially thankful for the assistance of the following.

• The National Science Foundation provided the money for the MUSSELp. Diana Lipscomb, our program officer, was especially supportive and helpful.
• Chris Mayer of the Illinois Natural History Survey got the Simpson-Haas Index on-line for us.
• Mark Sabaj of the Academy of Natural Sciences collected specimens for us in Peru and Guyana.
• Tim Hayes of the Academy of Natural Sciences and Jeremy Tiemann of the Illinois Natural History Survey helped us with numerous tasks.
